Teacher Training

The GenYES site license includes all the training, materials and support services necessary to make your GenYES class a success.

Potential GenYES lead teachers attend a phone/online training session given by a veteran GenYES teacher-trainer. We encourage students and administrators to attend the training as well if possible. This often helps establish buy-in and support for the program. The initial training covers the philosophy, resources, class planning, using the online tools, and the practical knowledge needed to start and run a GenYES class.

After the initial training, GenYES teachers have unlimited toll-free phone and email access to GenYES staff for questions, additional training, technical support, or any issue. Support is available from 7AM to 4PM Pacific time M-F, with other hours or days available by request.

Onsite training is available as an option, and is recommended for multiple GenYES schools starting in the same district, or as part of a grant.
